My best Personal branding tips.
You’re probably now wondering how to prepare for your personal branding shoot.
I know it can seem a little daunting at first, so fingers crossed my tips will help you prepare, based on my experience of working with many fabulous entrepreneurs.
Personal branding photoshoots are usually done to show the real person, might it be behind a certain company, product, or service! Whether it be an entrepreneur, yoga teacher, freelancer, a founder… you name it!
It is so important to show all the different sides of that person in your photos. This is so that the viewer can connect with them on a different level and trust them as:
An authority
A genuine and fun person
Or even… a Hustler
The most successful photographers carefully consider how a technique can strengthen the narrative that they’re trying to build. One of the most effective ways to do so is to be cognizant of your camera angles.
What exactly does the term “camera angle” refer to? Briefly, the term describes the location of your camera’s lens in relation to its subject. Depending on the type of photo, you can enhance the message in your photo by playing around with the various angles.
I often use a low angle for my personal branding photoshoots. The reason? This angle makes your subject look powerful and trustworthy.
The effect of making your viewer look up, instantly makes your subject more dominant and powerful. The lens sees the scene from a point of “humility” while the subject “towers over the world”. This is the best perspective to make them look dominant.
Use the low angle next time you want to do a personal branding shoot and see how it will instantly make your model look more powerful and dominant.
